Overview
Glutathione (γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine) is a naturally occurring tripeptide found in virtually all mammalian cells, where it serves as the primary intracellular thiol antioxidant and a central cofactor in redox homeostasis and phase-II conjugation chemistry.
In the laboratory, glutathione is one of the most widely used reference compounds in oxidative-stress research. Typical applications include redox-state assays, glutathione-S-transferase enzymology, cellular detoxification-pathway studies, and protective-effect models examining reactive oxygen species.
Each vial contains 1500 mg of lyophilized reduced glutathione, sealed for laboratory use. This material is supplied strictly for in-vitro research and laboratory experimentation and is not for human or veterinary use of any kind.
